Location
The course begins between 15th Street and 17th Street on Pacific Avenue in Downtown Tacoma, Washington.
Distances (USATF Certified)
- 10 kilometers (6.2 miles)
- 5 kilometers (3.1 miles)
Entry Fees
- $25 per person before close of business, Saturday, September 12th
- $20 per person Group rate (4 or more entries submitted together excluding Kids' 1K entry) before close of business, Saturday, September 12th
- $30 per person day of race registration, Sunday, September 13th
- 1K Kids' Run free to all kids 10 & under

A New Balance technical running shirt
(retail value $30) is included in the entry fee.
Clothes Check
Runners can safely store their belongings at the complimentary clothes check area.
Safety Restrictions
For everyone's safety, we are unable to permit wheeled devices such as in-line skates, bicycles, baby strollers and baby joggers on the route. All entrants should carefully read the disclaimer before entering.
Chip Timing
Bank to Bay will be timed by Accustat Sports Timing using Winning Time Chip technology. Runners in the 10K and 5K races will be issued a lightweight ankle strap with a timing chip attached when they receive their bib number. The chip must be worn around the ankle. The timing chip and strap must be returned at the conclusion of the event. Participants that do not return the chip will be charged a $30 replacement fee.
Help-a-Student Fund
You can make a difference in the life of a student. Bank to Bay supports the Tacoma Public Schools Help-a-Student Fund. This fund provides necessities to needy students, including clothing, shoes and school supplies.
Free 1K Kids' Run
The News Tribune is sponsoring the 1K Kids' Run. All children ages 10 and under are invited to participate. The first 200 kids to register for the 1K Kids' Run receive a free T-shirt. To ensure you are in the first 200, register online as soon as possible. All children participating in the 1K must be registered. Parents or adult friends/relatives, however, are permitted to accompany the child at no charge and are not required to register.
